Norwall PowerSystems is a US generator retailer, and this is its own announcement of its own sale. That matters. A retailer’s promotion tells you what that retailer offered. ## What do those details tell you?

Three things, and each is a caution as much as a guide.

If you shop for a standby generator, you are often buying from a dealer or retailer who packages the unit, the delivery and sometimes the installation. The promotion you see is theirs.

We do not know the price of that extension, what it covered, whether it was free or paid, or what conditions it carried. What that adds up to is that a “Black Friday” sale for a generator is not one event.
